PolyTHF® is also an important intermediate in manufacturing thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers (TPU). These products are used for highly abrasion-resistant and flexible hoses, films and cable sheathing.  Other applications include thermo-plastic polyetheresters, polyetheramide and cast polyurethane elastomers, proving their use for skateboard wheels and inline skates. This mass balanced product comes with a 100% substitution of fossil with renewable raw materials in the value chain. Using a Biomass Balance product (BMB) contributes to preserve fossil resources and enables the shift to a circular economy.  The product provides the same quality, performance and properties as the conventional equivalent (so-called drop-in solution) and helps to reduce the product carbon footprint. Additionally, this product comes with a highly recognized REDcert² certification.
