Basionics™ ST 80 is a convenient precursor for the synthesis of other ionic liquids or can also be used as reaction media.

Basionics™ ST 80 is not an ionic liquid itself due to its melting point, however, it is a precursor for other ionic liquids. 

It can also be used as a reaction media for organic synthesis like nucleophilic substitutions or for derivatization of biopolymers.
