Butyldiethanolamine

Butyldiethanolamine (BDEA) belongs to the class N-alkylated aminoalcohols with a tertiary amine and hydroxyl functionality.

Butyldiethanolamine is used as a neutralizing additive for wood coatings and paper impreganation formulations. It benefits from a low vapour pressure and low VOC which in turn lead to a low odour.
