Epsilon-Caprolactone is a low viscosity, colourless liquid and undergoes all reactions typical for primary alcohols 

Coatings
The properties of epsilon-caprolactone prove especially valuable in the production of poly-caprolactone (for extending polymer chains) and features high resistance to hydrolysis, excellent mechanical properties, low glass transition temperature.

In PUD coatings, polycaprolactone brings better weatherability, impact resistance, flexibility at low temperatures, low viscosity and chemical resistance for protective and industrial coatings. Epsilon-caprolactone is a building block for the production of polycaprolactone acrylate used as an oligomer in UV icured systems.
