OASE^® yellow

Developed to enable selective removal of sulfur components from natural gas as well as acid-gas enrichment (AGE) or tail-gas treatment (TGT) units, BASF's OASE^® yellow technologies offer a range of solutions that meet our customer's specific project requirements.

Refineries

BASF licensing ExxonMobil's FLEXSORB^TM technology

BASF, owner of the OASE^® brand, is extending its gas treatment portfolio by licensing ExxonMobil's highly effective FLEXSORB^TM technology. The agreement provides BASF with the right to sub-license the technology and supply the related solvent to third parties. FLEXSORB^TM is known for its selective removal of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) in presence of carbon dioxide (CO₂). The selectivity advantage allows for high H₂S removal at low solvent circulation rates resulting in lower energy consumption compared to conventional processes.
