Tributylamine is a tertiary amine which belongs to the class of trialkylamines. Tributylamine is used as proton scavenger in a variety of chemical processes (API, AgChem, …) and to produce Quats (e.g. tributylmethyl and tetrabutyl ammonium bromide, chloride or bisulphate) which are used as phase transfer catalysts.

Tributylamine (TBA or T-n-BA) is available in two grades: TBA normal and TBA +, a special high purity grade of TBA, for example for use as proton scavenger in API production. Both qualities are available in bulk, drums and ISO-containers.
