It is a long-chain hydrocarbon and is used as a blending component for premium gasoline and for the production of benzene and xylol (hydrodealkylation or toluene disproportionation). Important characteristics of TX-Mixture are: liquid, flammable, toxic, from colorless to yellowish, aromatic smell.
