Tributylamine
Tributylamine (TBA) is a tertiary amine which belongs to the class of trialkylamines.
General
TBA is used as proton scavenger in a variety of chemical processes (API, AgChem, …) and to produce quats (e.g. tributylmethyl and tetrabutyl ammonium bromide, chloride or bisulphate) which are used as phase transfer catalysts.
