NMP LS as an aprotic, highly polar organic solvent with reduced content of free amines and a low water content is mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry (peptide synthesis) and for membrane manufacturers to provide high yields, high process efficiency and higher recycling rates than conventional grades. NMP LS is a strong polar, aprotic, organic solvent of high purity with low amount of free amines, metal ions and water, which is completely miscible with water and dissolves many plastics, even polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and polyether sulfone (PES). This product comes with a 100% substitution of fossil with renewable raw materials in the value chain. Using a Biomass Balance product (BMB) contributes to preserve fossil resources and enables the shift to a circular economy. The product provides the same quality, performance and properties as the conventional equivalent (so-called drop-in solution) and helps to reduce the product carbon footprint. Additionally, this product comes with a highly recognized REDcert² certification.
