N-Octyl-2-pyrrolidone (NOP) is a speciality pyrrolidone with solvent and low-foam surfactant characteristics.
General
Cleaners With its low foaming surfactant nature and cosolvency, NOP provides additional low-foaming cleaning power to a variety of cleaner formulations. Crop Protection NOP is utilised as a co-solvent in crop protection formulations. It also contributes to formulation wetting due to its surfactant nature. Ink NOP is used in fountain solution formulations for offset printing. Rubber NOP functions as an efficient wetting agent for silica and other fillers and pigments in rubber formulations.
