Lupragen^® N700

Lupragen^® N700 is a very strong heterocyclic base. 

Due to its non-nucleophilic basic character Lupragen^® N700 (DBU, Diazabicycloundecen) is used as strong base in the production of fine chemicals, as accelerator for hardening of epoxy and for foaming of less reactive polyurethane systems (e.g. aliphatic isocyanates).

In polyurethanes systems Lupragen^® N700 catalysis the gelling reaction. Main application fields are CASE and microcellular foams.  

Lupragen^® N700 has a high boiling (> 250 °C) which diminishes the smell of final products containing Lupragen N700 and during production.
