Acronal® MB BC 5555

Acronal® 5555 X is used as a binder to manufacture dispersion-based construction adhesives, plasticizer resistant primers and mastic ceramic tile adhesives (D1) mainly for indoor use. Acronal® 5555 X is TÜV certified as “Bio-based Polymer” because of its renewable raw materials content. It is proven that Acronal® 5555 X offers an improved eco profile caused by a reduced GWP, ADP and lower energy consumption. This contributes to more environmentally friendly formulations offered to the end market. Acronal® 5555 X allows the manufacture of low emission adhesives. Being a modern product, it is manufactured without the use of APEO, ammonia or formaldehyde. There is no film forming aid needed when using Acronal® 5555 X because of its low glass transition temperature. The special properties of the renewable monomers content help to enhance open time while an excellent adhesion and shear strength to various substrates can be achieved. Acronal® 5555 X provides a good freeze/thaw stability.
